Speaker 1: Today, on this 2009 Chevrolet HHR, you'll be having a look at, and being shown how to install the Road Master XL base plate kit with removable arms; part number 3141-1. Here's what our base plate looks like installed. Now, this base plate is going to give us the vital connection point that we're looking for when we wanted to flat tow our HHR behind our motor home.Now, our tow bar will connection to our removable arms via these attachment holes right here. You'll have a bolt on adapter to attach your tow bar to. You may have a cross bar that goes across, between your two arms, depending on your model of tow bar you have.Now, these removable arms are great, because when we're not towing our HHR behind our motor home, we can simply pull our clip, pull our pin out, and then the arm will pull out. Our other arm's the same way. more

Today in our 2007 Chevrolet HHR, we'll be installing the Roadmaster XL base plate kit with removable arms, part number 3141-1. All right, so here's what our base plate looks like installed. Now we're going to take our removable arms, slide them in place, and we'll secure them with the included pin and clips. With our pins secure, we now have an attachment point for our tow bar arms. Right here at the bottom of our base plate where our arm connects, we have this tab where you can insert a padlock if you want to secure your arms to your base plate so you don't have to worry about someone just pulling the pins out and taking your base plate arms and your tow bar off. It'll be a secure and locked connection. more

Today in our 2011 Chevrolet HHR, we are going to be taking a look at, and also showing you how to install the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with removable arms. Part number is the BX1692. Alright, here is what our base plate kit is going to look like installed; you can see we have got our removable arms in place here. It is a really clean look; most of it is hidden up behind the fascia area of the vehicle. To remove our arms, we will just pull out on the pin, rotate them, and slide them out. Then we have got protective caps that are going to slide in there, and keep the dirt and debris and stuff out of there. more

Today on our 2011 Chevrolet HHR we're going to be taking a look at and also showing you how to install the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit With Removable Arms. Part number is 3141-1. We can grab our removable arms. We're going to get these slid into position. It's offset, we want that offset to be facing out, and the small locking tab here on the bottom to line up with the locking tab on the base plate. Then we're just going to take one of our supplied 5/8th pins, slide right through the hole in the arm, and then we secure it on the other side with the clip. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Installation - 2008 Chevrolet HHR

Today on our 2008 Chevy HHR, we'll be installing the Blue Ox base plate, Part # BX1692. We've already gone ahead and raise the front of the vehicle and remove the front tires. This will make it easier to remove the passenger as necessary on the inner wheel well. With the hood popped, we got four fasteners just inside of the front headlights that will need to be removed. We'll move to the inner fender well, we got one more screw and two pushpin fasteners for each side. Each process we do here on the passenger side is going to get repeat identically on the driver side. more
